Haringey Police today introduced a new system of 'Integrated Neighbourhood Policing Teams'.
Haringey Borough will be divided into four clusters. Within these clusters will be a combination of Safer Neighbourhoods Wards and new Neighbourhood Policing Teams who in combination will be described as an Integrated Neighbourhood Policing Team. Each cluster will be managed by an Inspector and are broken down as follows:
Each Ward will maintain its Safer Neighbourhood resourcing structure of one Sergeant (some shared), two Constables and three Community Support Officers providing a visible and accessible team.
Their role will still be to provide long-term, local solutions to local problems while maintaining a focus on reducing priority crime and to give local communities a say in deciding the priorities for the area in which they live.
Each new cluster will be supported by a Neighbourhood Policing Team whose role is to:
