Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Cattery needed whilst we move house - recommendations please!

Hi fellow cat owners,

Can anyone recommend a good cattery within a 30 minute drive from Harringay, please? We are moving house but there will be a week in between where we'll have to stay with friends and put our worldly belongings into storage and find somewhere to house our two cats.

Up until now, we've always used cat sitters so this will be their first time at a cattery.

Many thanks

Laura

Hi Laura,

We aways used the cattery at Hornsey Vets,  http://hornseycattery.com

Our cat was always spoilt rotten when he went there

Good luck with the move

Hi I know someone who fosters cats and might take them in for you for a week. If you message me I can put you in touch.

Alternatively there is a cat hotel in Winchmore Hill http://www.longcroftcathotel.co.uk/ and a boarding cattery at Capel Manor, Enfield http://www.capelmanorkennels.com/. I haven't used either of them but have heard good things.

I also know a visiting catsitter who lives locally if anyone needs someone to feed cats while they are on holiday.

I'm also looking for someone to come and feed my cat (next week) -- would you be able to pass on the details of the visiting cat sitter who lives locally?

I agree with Hornsey Vets as a recommendation (they are also our cat's vet).

However, I've needed an alternative when they've been booked up, and can also recommend Elm Tree in Enfield:  http://www.elmtreepethotel.co.uk/cattery/

Have heard good reports of The Elite Cattery.  It is at the North end of Archway Road.

Thanks very much for the recommendations, everyone.
Unfortunately with school holidays and short notice, almost all of them are full.

However, our own vet told us about London and Essex Kents Farm Kennels and Catteries who do have space so I think we'll go with them.

PoppyRed and Lauren - thanks ever so much for the offer of help. Ideally I'd like to use this opportunity to experience a cattery for the first time (for my sake as much as theirs!) in case we ever need it in future.

I'm moving from the ladders to Boundary Road, n22, and my current occasional cat feeder won't cover the new area so I may be in touch with the cat sitting group once we're settled. Thanks again.

Hope it all goes well. In case it helps, Village Vet have a cattery

If you ever need a cat feeder I can recommend Vicky Alhadeff (vicky@happydogsandcats.co.uk) Tel: 07791 387373
