Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Can anyone recommend a good, local cattery?
In a dream world one where they get a little bit of space rather than being locked up in a tiny cage.
Thanks

I can recommend Village Vet cattery, but it's in St Albans.

I've seen recommended a cat sitter who looks after cats in her own home - they have their own private room. She works at Medivet in Stamford Hill  and looks after cats in her own home in N5. If you want her number, just message me. I presume Medivet would be able to recommend her.

If you want your cats to stay at home and have a cat sitter visit, here is a recommended cat sitter/feeder.

Our cat always seems quite happy going here - https://www.elmtreepethotel.co.uk
I would also recommend Elmtree Pet Hotel. It's a bit of a journey to get there but the "chalets" are spacious and in nice surroundings. My cats have always been happy there.

I do catsitting locally if you want the cats to stay at home. Private message me your details if interested. I also know someone who might be able to have them in her home, but I don't know her availability - I could ask her.

Otherwise, I have heard great things about Longcroft Cat Hotel. http://www.longcroftcathotel.co.uk/about/

Our cat was very happy at Hornsey Vets and Cattery over Christmas http://www.hornseyvets.co.uk/cattery . It's our vets as well so we felt happy leaving her knowing medical support was on hand.  They let the cats out to play and wander in the secure space, and as ours was the last left from the Christmas glut she was aloud to wander around the play space and sleep on the radiator much of the day.

I've used hornsey vets cattery and yep great that it's local, well run and vets are next door, but my cat did smell a bit cheesy / musty after a stay there, prob because there's no outside access.

Rebecca, thanks for your message. I've sent you the details of the cat sitter Jaki who looks after cats in her own home.

If you decide to get the cats looked after in your own home, I can also recommend Lauren above who is very good.

When are you going away? I do petsitting as a side business and can also offer daily visits and overnight stays, if needed. I have a profile on CatInAFlat here which has a bit about my experience looking after cats, and reviews of my service. If there's anything else you'd like to know, please send me a message! :-)

Hi Sharon. We are away from 26th Sept to 4th Oct. Are you free then? How long do you spend with the cat per visit? Thanks.
Hi Rebecca!

I've actually just had that week freed up so I'm available then. The time I spend there can vary on how many times per day I visit, how many cats, if they have any special requirements, etc. but it can be anything up to an hour per visit (and more if I'm doing an overnight stay, of course). I'm also happy to do any plant watering, mail pickup or anything else that usually gets forgotten when going away! :-)
