Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

What are the cars that have been driving up and down Green Lanes tonight sounding their horns repeatedly and making a general racket celebrating? They were driving up and down Seven Sisters Road to Finsbury Park too. I could see there were young men in most of them waving some sort of flags but couldn't make out what was on them.

Nothing particularly exciting in the football today, is there?

Lacks the cocktail lounge atmosphere of Metrobet, wouldn't you say?- that sense of being in Casino Royale like you can get in BetterBet? :)
Have the English started training the penalty saving yet.... :o)

They might even have a chance next year, we've just lost our No1 goalkeeper
This was indeed very tragic Stephen and I have left numerous posts on various football websites about this sad set of circumstances.

Believe it or not as an English fan (who attends games!) I have a very soft spot for the German game, leagues and national team. I have been to various games out there and I am off there in March to see four games at Herta Berlin, St Pauli, Altona 93 and another non league team.

Unfortunately Dutch Bahn have stopped the sleepers from Brussels to Hamburg/Berlin so will be flying!!!
We haven't 'lost' our number one goalkeeper in the same sense of that of Germany. (tried to think of more words to use but failed)
England 6/1 - azif! I even saw Clarence Seedorf on the telly a couple weeks back claiming we were favourites. What a crock! I think it's just plain cruel to talk in these terms.
And New Zealand, right?
New Zealand of course John, Killen use to be at Vale you know, before he could play half decent of course! My friend was at the game in Wellington last week. Barhain have been knocked out twice now 1-0, last time by T&T.
"im not the referee but if i hurt some one im sorry"

A tweet of infamy this afternoon from t. henry that just confirms all my prejudices about superstar morality, sporting role models for the young, the 'beautiful game', ffffing FIFA, ffffing French, today's twittish excuses for apology - and twitteresque literacy.
That comes on top of his glib admission last night that he had intentionally handled the ball twice to set up Gallas for the goal but since the ref allowed it it couldn't be Saint Thierry's fault. Maybe after his match in Dublin's Croke Park he thought he was still playing Gaelic Football. Well at least Maradonna never pretended to be a bloody saint.
You're right B2. Seed rigging will be a gift to Blatter. Look on the bright side: now I have 15 teams I can cheer for, so who needs to worry about those odds?
now I have 15 teams I can cheer for

My silly slip up. Of course I have 31 I can cheer for in the finals.
Time perhaps to bring down the guillotine on this discussion - as on the brass neck of Thierry Henry.
