Carpenter/joiner to make benches from railway sleepers

The Friends of The Parkland Walk are looking to put some more benches in along the walk and are considering using, appropriately, railway sleepers. Does anyone know of anyone who could build sturdy benches using large timbers?

Don't railway sleepers ooze tarry preservative ( creosote ) ?

They generally do, but you can get hold of non treated ones.

We haven't got them yet. As has been pointed out, old ones ooze creosote. If we go down this route we can afford to put more benches on the Parkland Walk.
