I found out about it yesterday when I was visiting a stables in Kineton, Warwicks. I was chatting with one of the grooms and she told me that she had just got back from Muswell Hill, having helped her sister-in-law deal with her string of camels that she brought to the Ally Pally over the weekend.
She said that they also did ordinary treks around the dusty, rock-strewn and blazing wilderness of the Warwickshire countryside and I determined to take advantage of that some time soon. After all, who would venture alone on foot into that desolate and waterless hell?
So--if anyone else fancies hacking out on a camel, contact me and we can arrange a mutual time to suit and drive out there in the same car. I don't know where the camels are kept, but it takes about 2 hours to get to Kineton. There are a lot of snarl-ups on the N. Circ at present, so one has to budget for an extra 30 mins but if people are sharing the driving that's not too bad.

A little more info from someone I know who went. Tickets were £25 each for the venue and entertainment supplied. Great Hall was hired, large screen and good sound system showing Lawrence of Arabia. London was split into 4 tribes, west-east-north-south, with members from each being met at Ally Park by someone on a horse with a large flag apparently, a few camels on the scene, props set up inside to represent scenes of the movie.
