Organisations and community groups based in Haringey who want to reach new audiences for film screening activity are being urged to apply for grants from Film London's 'Project Tottenham'.
Film London and Haringey Council are inviting proposals from local community groups to develop film screening activity in Tottenham over the last weekend in September. £10,000 is available in grants to support Tottenham's first community film showcase. Project Tottenham aims to engage local residents as well as audiences from across London.
Taking place over 28, 29 and 30 September 2012 the showcase will feature screenings, events and activity hosted by local venues. Applicants are encouraged to develop programmes appealing to local audiences with the option of including films shot in Haringey, shorts made by local filmmakers and screen heritage material from Haringey's moving image collection.
Where?
Applicants are asked to partner with venues along Tottenham High Road, defined here as the road stretching from White Hart Lane Stadium to Seven Sisters Underground Station and will include venues within 1 mile on either side.
When?
This pilot scheme will fund activity taking place over the last weekend of September (Friday 28, Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 September 2012).
Can I apply?
We are looking for organisations and community groups based in Haringey who want to reach new audiences for film screening activity. Applicants must be based in Greater London. Groups based in Tottenham will be prioritised.
