I have noticed that the old Victorian conveniences on Bruce Grove have been closed for many years. It seems they are a listed building but various 'regeneration' plans have seen the can kicked down the road repeatedly. I have made a formal request to Haringey for up to date info but would welcome any input. They would be a great community resource but it seems likely that cost and red tape may be scaring everyone away?

Exactly! Better to give them away for community/light commercial use than let them rot further. This sums up why people should NOT vote Labour in the council elections: they lack imagination and the will to restore them.

It's a disgrace that Haringey Council would see the maintenence of public toilets as 'not a priority'. Instead of selling off and/or converting these facilities, they should, with the help of local residents, set up a strategy to provide and maintain public toilets in main shopping and key areas across the borough.
