Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Bike thieves
Hello , just an alert that the bicycle thieves are out and about in the area. Saw a pair outside the twelve pins pub (on Seven Sisters Road in Finsbury Park) attempting to steal one chained to the railings, but gave up after being spotted.
My partner's bike was stolen last night about 18:00 outside the corner shop at Cavendish road and green lanes. It’s a distinctive black Dawes brand.
If anyone ever spots it, give me a ping. Police have been informed. Any help would be appreciated!

That's really annoying Gary, sorry to hear.
There seems to be a thriving trade in stolen bikes on Facebook Marketplace. I'd be checking there if you aren't already...

Sorry to hear that. Can I ask what lock was on the bike? In Central London there are really professional gangs who come with angle grinders so not much can be done about that. Haven't seen that in this area... Yet

Thanks , was just a regular lock I’m afraid . Yes I think the two I saw at Finsbury Park were two youngish men in jackets with hoods and had a black shopping trolley bag with them where I presume the equipment to cut would be !!! Similar see pic
