I just went to the Santander ATM on Green Lanes between Warham and Seymour to withdraw cash. Nothing came out - but that sometimes happens. But I always ask for a withdrawal slip and this did come, with the amount I'd tried to withdraw indicated. Puzzling. So I poked my fingers into the slot and felt some notes, which I was able to pull out, before the slot closed - luckily the full amount.
Incident may or may not have been related to the man (a familiar figure on Green Lanes) skulking nearby and glancing furtively towards me.

Might be dodgy, might not be - I got massively panicked about reading up on scams (mostly on HoL!) when a local machine swallowed my card for no reason but the police had a good look and it turned out to just be new machine that was having some teething trouble. I'd report it anyway though...
Thank you for letting us all know!
This cashpoint has form, see previous discussions:

I always try to avoid using that Santander cashpoint. The one outside Tesco is more reliable. If I do use the Santander branch in the week, I use the cashpoint inside. Another point to note is that the bank lobby has a/c, so is a useful place to dive into to cool off. As is DP Mark chemists across the road. Also, the people in DP Mark are always very, very nice
