Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Does anyone know of a good place to buy cured wood for a wood burner ? I was thinking the ideal solution would be for a few locals to bulk buy and split the lower costs. If someone had a place to safely store the wood, between drop off and split up, we could have a good little wood collective going ....

Could get it at whole sale prices from these guys if we could harbour 24 crates somewhere before the divi up.

Great idea. Interested but no space sadly.  Perhaps even if said company could deliver to the area on one day, perhaps a discount of sorts?

Are there no UK suppliers ? Seems a bit sad wood has to be shipped from so far away (yes i know, it's cheaper).

FPR* This time of year tree doctors are busy - Have you tried contacting any of the local ones  ?

We use http://www.certainlywood.co.uk/ and usually order them in the summer when prices are cheaper

FPR. Would be interested in this too. I have a place I can store wood but only for my own use sadly. Built a little log shed last summer that the wind is currently wrecking!

Darn, just replied and my post went wonky.... Try a credit card payment- the credit card company is liable if the delivery is not made and you can recover the money. Also, ask for references of satisfied UK customers to see if they are legit.
