Thank you for that Maggie, I wish I could be as articulate in my anger at the damage done to this country by that woman.

Remarkable how, since Monday, everyone here as in the rest of the meeja has avoided NORTHERN IRELAND. So let me break our taboo.

BOBBY SANDS, April 1981: "Our revenge will be the laughter of our children."  Which emollient farewell did not stop Thatcher dismissing him as a "criminal and a terrorist" the day he died, 5 May 1981. So we should all be overcome with maudlin grief because Cameron wants to spend a day in the Commons and Lords milking Maggie (who, to her credit, despised the poncy git) and millions burying her ?

Epitaph on a Tyrant (apols to Auden

Perfection, of a kind, was what she was after,

And the poetry she invented was easy to understand:

She knew Tory folly like the back of her hand,

And was greatly interested in armies and fleets;

When she laughed, respectable arselickers burst with laughter,

And when she cried the little children died in our streets.

Its kinda an endless list of bad things she done to this county (and others).

But the 21 families that got evicted from their (social, not council) homes, last month, in Muswell Hill, due to the police wanting to sell the land for profit, is a direct result of her policies.

Also the new Tottenham Swamp, is also a direct result of her privatisation policies.

It would be tiresome to list all the bad things that are happening in our borough right now.  They are also the direct result of her policies.
I blame her for most of the ills of our country, we are suffering.  And the viciousness of the government attacks we see today on the disabled, for example, are also the backwash of her wake.
But her deepest and subtle scars, are the ones of our minds.  Poisoned with self and greed.  Of elevation on the backs of others.  The ideas and actions, that were once seen as anti-social, are now seen as acceptable and natural.

Personally, the fact that she said "There is no such thing as society" as a leader of our country.   Is nothing short of 'high treason' [including the punishment that balances it]

How right you are OAE, no one has even mentioned Ireland, and my omission too.

Not a shocker really.....just a tax avoider.
