I have just seen a very beautiful looking cat looking in through our living room window from our back garden. Having read previous posts about exotic cats I am not sure what breed this one is or whether it is allowed out? I have a very small and timid female tabby and a baby under 1 so I am quite keen to hear from anyone who might know more about this pet. We live on Hewitt.

Thanks for the tag. It isn't the missing bengal as this one is not black but had leopardy markings and tabby colours. I am dreading my cat meeting this one face to face as it seems big and very confident.
sounds like the one that has been beating up my boys for the past few years. The big bengal cat helpfully ripped off the tip of my cats ear just before xmas. It has also come into our flat through the cat flap to get them. It also stares through our window at our cats a lot. I would encourage you to protect your cat from it.
I might arm myself with a water pistol to see if this helps discourage him. I think it might be him that has scratched all the paint off our french doors in a bid to get to our moggy. I was sort of hoping the owner might see this thread and as a cat lover feel inclined to do something.......
sorry to hear your cat got scratched btw. I have just read that you can get your cat vaccinated against fiv...might be worth considering.
Thanks for the advice. That sounds terrifying! I would hate to wake up to see it staring me or beating up our little cat. We have a microchip cat flap so hopefully this wont happen however, there could be trouble if theres a confrontation in the garden as although she's brave she cannot stick up for herself very well and ends up getting chased and scratched a lot.
Where does this cat live? Have you said anything to the owners?
This cat is an ongoing problem. See these posts and discussions:

I have tried to contact the owner but have had no success so far. I would love it if this cat could be kept in for more hours of the day.
Best thing is to try to locate the owner. Ask if their cat is neutered as neutering will improve aggressive behaviour and should be done anyway. If a cat is outside a lot in this weather, it's probably because it can't get into its own home. Suggest they get a catflap if they don't have one - www.catflapman.co.uk will fit one. Also ask them to keep their cat inside at night which is a good idea for cats anyway and reduces fighting.
I sympathise, I've had a few vet bills myself from cat fights! Sometimes things improve after a few fights, a pecking order is established and the fighting stops.
If its not the same one then it adds evidence to my theory taht Bengal cats tend to be aggressive and should not be allowed to roam the streets all day, beating the crap out of all the other cats in the neighbourhood. I wish I could find the owner of the cat/s to talk to them.
I will try to get a photo of the Bengal I am talking about and we can see if its the same one that roams very far or whether there are two different Bengal nutters.
