Attached is the latest BGORUG Bulletin (11 January) which should be on our website in a few days.
The overhead line equipment (OHLE) between Gospel Oak and South Tottenham is now live (25,000v AC) and yesterday powered the first train to use them, LO's 378 211, on hire to Network Rail.
Arriva Rail London will be operating a 'ghost' service Sunday afternoon for driver refreshing prior to services recommencing on Monday. There are bound to be more Gospel Oak - South Tottenham electric test trains too.
Welcome to the first Electric Multiple Unit 378 211 to the Gospel Oak to Barking Line! #GOBE #electrification After a long and arduous project we are now ready to test the new OLE (in part anyway). Still a few snags to overcome but it’s here and running on its own.
Proof that the new #ole wires do work under Crouch Hill Bridge #GOBE #electrification @NetworkRailGOBE @RidingtheGoblin forgive the windscreen wipers
