Banners Restaurant set to close
Banner's restaurant owner, Juliette Banner recently announced on Instagram, “To the people of Crouch End and anyone who has walked through our doors over the past 30 years – Banner’s will be closing in September."
She added, “I could write this message with a heavy heart, but instead it’s filled with an overwhelming feeling of gratitude and accomplishment.
Both she and her head chef for the past 30 years are quitting the restaurant business and I assume that will close permanently. Could anyone really take over such a local institution?

I'm sure someone or some entity would bite her hand off to buy this place. Its a local institution and is very popular.

End of an era - the decor has hardy changed since they opened, which I find very comforting. I suspect it will become just another so-so restaurant.
