Bank Holiday Parking

On bank holiday Monday 6 May, free parking is available in all on-street pay and display parking bays and in all council car parks.

Vehicles parked within a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) are not required to display a valid resident permit or visitor permit when parking in resident or shared use bays within the borough.

The council will also not enforce vehicles parked on a single yellow line.

There are some exceptions to this rule and the following restrictions remain enforceable:

• Double Yellow Line restrictions and those with 24 hour loading restrictions
• Footway Parking
• Disabled Bays
• Bus Stops
• Taxi Ranks/Bays
• Zigzags (ie pedestrian crossings)
