Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Aussies suddenly find their country is for the first time run by a woman (if you discount Betty Windsor's role). This experiment has been tried before in this country with mixed results. I feel for my brother-in-law in Sydney. Not only is he married to a woman, he has three daughters and now he's ruled at national level by a woman also.

And they call it the Lucky Country.

It doesn't come any luckier than that, Clive! Hurrah for the Aussies!
Liz, I've just spoken to my sister Ruth, who happens to be a woman and she says she feels so sorry for Mr Rudd ("a good man") that she is thinking of writing a letter to him (this provoked controversy around the dinner table in the background).
Well being a 'good man' doesn't always save you if your party want you out...politics can be vicious and hardly ever sentimental. Ask Maggie, Charlie, Ming, Gordon...
Ah so Australia's Rudderless again. Who'll speak to the Chinese now that the Welsh have taken over?
And do we foresee London's schools being run once more by an endless supply of displaced male PE teachers?

There is growing talk in Australia of a push to reinstall Kevin Rudd as Prime Minister.

She is also Welsh
James: (re a Sheila running Oz): does that make it better or worse?
I'm only thankful this (other female) person didn't get the job.

So?

Mr Rudd's resigned as Australia's Foriegn Minister.

RNZ story has picture of the AU PM consoling the man she was said to have earlier stabbed in the back.

They tend to out-live blokes, don't they?
