Dear All
Our autumn Area Forum and Committee is scheduled for Monday, 30 September, starting at 6.30pm at the Cyprus Kitchen, 628-630 Green Lanes, N8 0SD. Our main topic of discussion is the management of public events in Finsbury Park. This is an issue of current interest, which has many dimensions – there are issues of licensing, public safety, frequency and the impact on the park and public use of these events.
The Stone Roses concert crystallised many of these concerns.
Our meeting on Monday 30 September is a chance for everyone to have their say and we have invited the Chair of the Friends of Finsbury Park, along with the Council’s Licensing Officer and Head of Client Services responsible for the park to start off the debate. There is due to be a public consultation on the events policy, so come now to contribute your views.
We will also have an update from the police on the new policing arrangements, and progress on the regeneration improvements on Green Lanes, which are now happening and there for everyone to see.
Looking forward to seeing you on Monday, 30 September.
