I'm part of a student dance troupe taking classes in Tribal Fusion belly dance at Omnida Dance Studio. We are looking for performance opportunities in the New Year. We are a mixed group with some very experienced dancers, and some people who are just starting out, so we'd really like the chance to perform for free at some community events and give everyone involved the opportunity to be part of a troupe and perform in front of an audience.
Doing classes is great but having a performance to work towards makes it all much more fun. If you are organising an event (charity event, school fete etc.) that you think would be livened up by a performance from a belly dance troupe let me know!
If you're interested in dancing/performing yourself do come along to classes - its great fun and Omnida is a lovely studio right by Turnpike Lane station.

I was hoping to run a Christmas Pemberton Play Street (an outdoor event) on the 18th of Dec. I was hoping to do a few things, like possibly have some bring and buy, etc and this could be fun if you were up for performing outdoors. Alternatively, happy to talk to you about doing something in the spring/summer if belly dancing in the winter is not on the top of the list of opportunities you were looking for.
Thanks Justin - we're quite hardy, we've done outdoor gigs before! Unfortunately I think December 18th might be a wee bit too soon for us with this current group. We'd definitely be interested in doing something in the Spring
Just messaged you. Drop me a line with your contacts in and we can see what we can work out when it is a bit warmer.
It would be great to find out a bit more about this and how many of you there are. Please email me on discoveringtottenham@gmail.com
All the best,
Hazel
Only just seen this Hazel. Will do.
