Hi i'm 30 weeks preggers (first baby) and am about to stop working -
I just thought it would great to get out there and meet other mums-to-be in the area.
Plus I hardly know anyone in London who has children or is expecting be great to chat to women in the same boat.
Just thought it would be fun. If you know of any thing or ideas- give me a shout!
Many thanks
marika
Thank you all for your generous replies, much appreciated and very helpful. Perhaps I should bite the bullet and cough up that £300! I'm doing pregnancy yoga at Weston Park and the people there seem very nice, but I suppose the good thing with NCT is everyone is around the same due date, and those first few weeks can be scary by all accounts. Really loads of thanks for your thoughts. More pondering...
ps i didn't do NCT but i met a group of people at the whittington antenatal class which is great. we all live really close by and hope to keep in touch and arrange meet ups - just like NCT! hopefully the same will happen for you at your class. it seems that they group people by address for the classes and there are so many people at the class that you are likely to meet like minded people. i am 36 weeks pregnant so a bit ahead of you i think but would be happy to let you know when the other mums to be and myself are meeting up if you want to meet local mums.
Hi Sally. That makes sense, I am Burgoyne group so it sounds likely that people at the Whittington antenatal class will be local. I'm at work until Christmas (unless she comes early of course) but if you're still on mat leave and drinking coffee in the new year do let me know! Thanks for your comments.
