Apple Maps Van In Town Today
This caught my eye in town today. Looks like Google may be facing some competition, I thought Apple Maps had died a death! Anyway, I made sure they took my picture for Internet Posterity!
Interestingly, when I searched for the maps.apple.com web site it came up blank! Is it real I wonder?

Apple Maps app certainly is real on the iPhone, iPad & Mac. There was also a light aircraft going backwards and forwards overhead this morning, so I wonder if they were also updating their aerial photos too.
Note that if you are into walking then the best bet is to use an app that uses openstreetmap.org as a source, as this marks paths etc that Google maps & Apple maps completely ignore.Viewranger is the one I use.
