Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Can anyone recognise this weed in my neighbour’s garden?

I was worried at first that it’s Japanese Knotweed. But it doesn't look like the images on a JK ID site. Nonetheless, it seems pretty tough as it’s been coming through a tough layer of vinyl he’s got in one part of the garden.

That shows the flower spikes, and the leaf shape. And it's classed as invasive - https://www.rhs.org.uk/weeds/docks

Thank you John D, I only knew docks as lowly leafy plants to be hoed out PDQ rather than the full monty plant with flower spikes.

Thank you both. That link is useful, Gordon. It suggests that this is a highly invasive species. As it happens, I did look at the seed heads earlier on and I wondered if I should chop them off. I think I’ll see if I can get across again tomorrow and chop them off.
