Anyone getting rid of any furniture I could use?
I've just moved in to an unfurnished place on the ladder. I have a sofa and a bed but other than that am living out of boxes. I wondered if anyone was getting rid of any furniture that I could make use of until I save up and buy stuff, then if I am given anything I could readvertise on here for someone else to use. I've been checking freecycle but it seems you have to be lightening quick and I haven't got time to keep on it all day.
I'll consider anything that is in a useable clean state. Please let me know if you have anything and I can collect it. Happy to offer babysitting or dog walking services in return, or a nice cake or bottle of wine :)

Hi, I have an ikea swivel chair in red courdroy that is nice and usable but we have no room for it. Large enough to use as a chair in a living room. It's quite big though so not sure how you'd get it to your house!

By a wonderful coincidence, we are clearing out my mother-in-law's flat, which is near Seven Sisters Tube. She died recently, and we need to clear the flat so the Council can get vacant possession. We already gave away some chests of drawers and a dining table and chairs to an organisation called ReCycle, but they couldn't take any more at that point. I think there might be some pieces there you could use. For example, there's a glass-topped coffee table, and two matching end tables. We are going to put stuff we can't give away (and stuff that we'd like to keep, but don't have room for in our own home at the moment) into storage very soon, I hope at the beginning of next week.
