Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I work from home and like to go out for a hour or two in the afternoon and work somewhere in Crouch End.

However, several of the places I tried have really flakey wiki. In some places it doesn't work at all, in others it is slow, in other it seems to work ok, but drops out occasionally (breaking my VPN connection).

Can anyone recommend a nice place with good wifi i could try, please?

(I appreciate that wifi isn't the main priority at a cafe and that people sat for 4 hours with one cup of coffee are not desirable customers.)

Hi Adam

HOL has a free wi-fi crowd-sourced map here as a starting point.

:-)

Which places have you visited so far?

I've been to Coffee Cake, The Queens and My kind of Coffee over the last few days. I couldn't hold a steady internet connection at any.

I did get good wifi at Harris and Hoole, but it isn't my favourite place.

I was at Jam in a Jar earlier today, and felt very out of place not having a Macbook Air...

What about the Blend Cafe on Green Lane?

Not enough chairs to sit?

Steve and Linda have a good wi-fi over there especially in the front room.

Personally I create a map of their wi-fi access and it works quite well.

They also do the BEST coffee!

Moka on Wightman Road has great wifi.  Often do work from there myself.  Obviously wont work for you if you are looking specifically for somewhere on Crouch End high street but worth the 10min walk.

The Hornsey library has wifi and the little cafe serves coffee for £1!
