I would not need a South American civil rights website to gauge this, I generally find the more emotive the language the more left-wing it is.

I agree with this. The right seem to own the subtle and polite language of oppression.

Taken from those bastions of rabid communism the Daily Mail and the Daily Express.

I hadn't realised that this Forum had become such a totem of political satire .

I take your point Steve, I rather see such headlines as dramatic rather than emotive, but that could be a moot point. Luckily I read neither.
