Amber Alert Issued for High Winds in Haringey on Sunday

The following is a message from the Haringey Emergency Alert Service:

Please be aware that the Met Office have issued an Amber Warning for High Winds, affecting the London area from Sunday night into Monday morning.

Wind speeds are expected to reach gale or severe gale force with gust speeds widely 60-80 mph, with heavy rain also expected.

What you can do:

- Stay in touch with weather forecasts over the weekend.

- Plan journeys carefully, and check travel advice.

- Bring inside or secure loose items that might fly around in the wind.
