image: Jagger at Alexandra Palace 1964, by John Hopkins.
The
Independent on Sunday reports on a exhibition of John Hopkin's 60s photos, many of famous musicians of the time. The IoS link doesn't include the excellent shots of Ally Pally during a through the night extravaganza of music by the Stones and John Lee Hooker, which are in the paper edition.
The photos show the Stones playing alongside the blues legend John Lee Hooker at an all-night gig at Alexandra Palace, just two months after the Rolling Stones released their eponymous debut album in 1964.
Exhibition coming up at the
Idea Generation gallery in London.
