Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

After a 5 year waiting list I have secured an allotment at Winton Road, London N11

I am extremely busy with work and family and looking for a joint venture partner!!

Someone who has TIME and loves gardening - so we can share some of the fresh produce.

Maybe a retired person.

In view of past discussions from folks looking for allotments, David, I thought you'd have a Schindler's list of takers by now.

Hi David, if there are no takers, and even if there are, a way of making an allotment more manageable is to plant part of it with fruit trees, berried fruit and soft fruit. This is a great project if you have kids as they are much more interested in digging holes and picking things particularly if they can eat them straight off the bush, and once in the ground you get an annual harvest with very little work or investment of time. Add to that an asparagus bed and some artichokes and you are then left with a more manageable space to grow spuds, greens, beans etc if you want to.
