Thanks for posting, Bob. I hadn't heard about this. The poor publicity about the issue suggests that the Trust may not be particularly interested in our opinions. But have completed the "survey" nevertheless.

Someone mentioned it on here a while back. They complained that charging would result in increased parking on the surrounding roads as motorists looked to avoid paying for parking.

I missed that.

Joys of it being on the Councils Facebook Page

With just over 4,000 Followers

You’d think being on their mailing list would do the trick, but I guess not.

I’m not sure that this is primarily the Council’s responsibility. The park and Palace are run by a totally separate trust established by an act of parliament, as I understand it.

I have had mailing before about Alexandre Palace changes

But seems they tried to bury this one

Sure Haringey Rate Payers do contribute to its Running Costs

When in Parks , We used to cover events with staff from other parks

Believe that additional Charges for Parking will Effect future bookings                                        and income for Commercial Events and the Bar

Should be Special Rates for Haringey Rate Payers

It was managed by Haringey but that changed a while ago

I annually go to Ally Pally for the London Festival of Railway Modelling, which I prefer to drive to in the event I have a sizeable purchase which would prove unwieldy on a bus...

Have to say I’ve always been surprised it’s free.

As many land owners have Found trying to Run a Pay car park is not Always worth the effort

Even for the numbers that can park at the Palace

Sure it will effect Bookings for events
