Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Seems like Seymour and Fairfax have both been visited by a gang of guys kicking really aggressively on doors. There's a possibility this may be linked to a recent TikTok craze apparently, but was just wondering if anyone else has recently had - or heard of - aggressive kicking of front doors locally.

yes - our door got kicked twice on fairfax today. Very shocking sudden noise it's hard to know what it is and whether just ASB or an attempt to break in!

I don’t know if it’s connected but there have been a spate of incidents on Warham Road over the last couple of weeks of a stranger demanding to be let in to retrieve a non-existent mobile phone and reacting aggressively when told that they were at the wrong address.  On one occasion they tried to prevent the front door being shut. One evening the same bloke tried this at adjacent addresses.

I saw some youths running from Wightman into the top of Seymour and looking back. This a couple of days ago, had the vibe of larking as opposed to full on crime so may have been this..

I saw this happen the other day in Crouch End as well.  Five or six kids who then ran away and kept looking back around the corner, laughing.  It is annoying, startling, and potentially damaging to the door, but I do think it's probably (hopefully) just dumb kids getting their kicks on an internet fad rather than an actual break in attempt.

All fun and games until Jasper, Hugo and Oscar kick the wrong door.

Love the uninteded pun

To be fair we used to do version of this when I was a kid in the 60s (Knocky Nine Doors as it was known in Sunderland)

True.  Ding Dong Ditch back in the States.
