There's no Harringay Festival on Green Lanes this year, but we do have the Hidden River Festival, celebrating 400 years since the New River was opened and the communities that live along the stretch of it between Hornsey and Manor House.
For now, just reserve the day - more soon - watch HoL and the festival website.
If you'd like to help make the festival happen, leave a note here or drop me a note at hugh@haringayonline.com and I'll make sure it gets to the right place!
The festival is partnering with Water Aid. It seemed to be a natural fit - the New River was built to bring much needed fresh water into London 400 years ago. Water Aid continues that work worldwide today.
The website image was found independently by the website designer (James Law of Hidden Cinema fame), but turned out be one I took in Finsbury Park back in 2008! How's about that for coincidence! I've no idea who the girl in pink is. Do you know?

Great photo Hugh, very professional!
A bird something sounds great. A walk? A talk? A walktalk? Or had you something else in mind?
I'll have a think!
