I had to go to Wood Green on Monday and my (Black cab) driver already knew that the road was open. But not many other drivers did so it was a clear run through with very little traffic. On the way back though the driver (a different black cab) asked us our prefered route so I mentioned WR as an alternative but he thought it was still closed. Again a clear run right through. But how long will it last?

You don't include pedestrian crossings...

As a ladder resident, I am delighted to see Wightman Road reopen.  It has been a nightmare trying to drive too and from home whilst it has been shut.  And the longer there are no speed humps to damage our cars the better.

Damage to cars?? What about the damage to cyclists and pedestrians from speeding cars? The sooner they're reinstated, the better.

Speed bumps only damage your car if you go over them fast.  Not if you go at 10 mph or whatever you're meant to.  We have one right outside our house that people regularly smash their exhausts/bumpers into as they rag up the street at 50mph.
