The Friends of SG&H library staged their first ever craft fair on Saturday. Visitors to the library were invited to see demos and take first steps in knitting, crochet, mosaic making, candle making and recycling. There were also tours of the Knowing Thru Growing edible garden at the library and free sunflower and nasturtium seeds were given away to encourage more growing around the 'hood.
The mosaic making run by Rachel Fell of ThirdrockArt proved popular (photo by Rachel Fell via Twitter)
and the cake stall run by the Stroud Green WI was a huge success (and rightly so, the cakes were delicious!).
The Friends would like to thank everyone who helped to make our first ever go at a craft fair happen, both crafters and visitors.
Thank you all for supporting your local library.
