After moving in some years back, we saw that the cupboard at the top of the stairs had been left untouched by all late twentieth century modernisers. Whether by chance or design, we decided to leave it as a wonderful little record of the house's history.
There are three layers of paper I can see, the oldest of which is only barely visible. I've got my ideas on which age each belongs to, but would be interested in what other people think.
Below is a series of iphone snaps. The first is a general shot of a corner of the cupboard where all layers are visible. The second shows the oldest green layer, then there's the middle and the newest layers. The house was completed in 1896. Any thoughts anyone?
