I noticed the window washers. Is it worth emailing the Safer Neighbourhoods Team about them. The Arena doesn't come under Harringay, but they will pass comments on, I think.

As to the cleaning, could try asking Dasos Maliotis the Neighbourhood Manager for advice, dasos.maliotis@haringey.gov.uk.

You would think it was in the businesses interest to keep the area clean, so you could try contacting the businesses like Costa etc directly to complain and get them to put pressure on the company.
Thanks Liz i'll try that, i did complain to the staff in Costa who came out and swept up round the tables i'm sure they all hate me now ..lol
Too right to complain. It's shows that the local community care. It was good of Costa to go out and sweep up. If they have tables outside then it must be their private space, but I've got a feeling it might be owned by the management company and therefore their responsibility. It's not on the public highway or footpath, therefore not the council's responsibility. That's my hunch anyway
Re. the window cleaners, if they're the horrid lot that were hanging around the junction last year too then they're definitely one for the police to deal with, as they're on a public road. It's illegal and dangerous. And they can be really intimidating. I flagged down a police car on Green Lanes last year to let them know they were there, and they went straight down there and dealt with it.
I can only hope that tempers get so frayed that one of the window cleaners gets a smack, there's a fight, the road is subsequently closed, and then someone HAS to deal with the whole sorry traffic situation. But that's another discussion entirely.
The guy responsible for managing the shopping park is Richard Jones. He's not based at the Arena, but you can contact him at:

Here's the reply i got from Wildmoor properties seems they are on the case

Simon

Thank you for your letter regarding refuse / litter.

I think I have written to you before.

We employ a maintenance contractor at the above who, amongst other matters, sweeps and clears all litter leaves etc and rubbish everyday first thing in the morning.

I am not at all content with the standards we are achieving and have today instructed another more rigorous regime which will entail higher numbers of operatives and a more frequent service ie twice daily.

I am often on site and if you want to meet with me I would be very pleased to discuss this or any other matters and indeed show you around the shopping park.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards

Richard
That sounds promising. Are you going to meet with him?
If only I could get such prompt replies to my pleas about the rest of Harringay.
Not sure yet, i'll see if it improves first, now if onlyhe could also sort out the traffic chaos too ,took me 45 mins to get out of Sainsburys car park on monday only drove cos it was pouring with rain ,sorely regretted it.
