The Grove Cafe
Alexandra Palace and Park

Ciaro (sp?) and his wife run this cafe, food is lovingly produced, everyone loves it and the dogs too get a free morsel, his pasta ans soups and hot apple juice are wonderful!

Not that i'm trying to encourage anyone to vote for any particular bookshop, be it big or green or whatever, but the form is just one click away....

Gosh -- you get to nominate up to nine businesses in different categories.

I nominated:

* Paul at Haringey Flooring for Best Entrepreneur (excellent carpets and great service, much cheaper than Allied or Carpetright)

* Danube Bakery, 50 Grand Parade for Best New Business (very brave to set up opposite Yassar Halim)

* Muna's, 599 Green Lanes for Best Restaurant (I wouldn't have dared not nominate her)

* Lido Household Stores, 481 Green Lanes for Best Retailer (they stock absolutely everything - like John Lewis used to be before they went downhill.)

And finally...

* Big Green Bookshop, Wood Green, for Most Successful New Creative Business -- the category seems tailor-made.
