After running for one-and-a-half days the case was adjourned till April 1st. (Let's hope the joke will be on them and not us). All that remains is closing statements.
It's a bit tough to say where things stand. Probably, it's too finely balanced to make a call. So I guess we'll all have to sit tight and see what comes round in just over a month.

And me. Thanks for all your efforts Hugh and Peter (and anyone else I've forgotten to mention).
BTW I remembered last week that I'd written to David Lammy about the recent explosion in betting shops over the last year ... but haven't heard back. I shall try again. Aren't our MPs obliged to respond to correspondence from their constituents..?
By the way, in case you're interested, I came across this last week - article about problems faced by betting shop staff, particularly as regards new fixed odds machines (see end of article).
