Let’s go back in time 122 years! It’s the summer of 1898, and we’re briefly at Wood Green (now Alexandra Palace) railway station for some Victorian steam action. A Stirling E1 2-4-0 locomotive passes the camera on the centre road down mainline with a through passenger train to the North. It is then followed by another northbound fast. A Kings Cross bound express passes as the North London commuter train to High Barnet pulls in to the platform.
