Nightmare Before Christmas - Relaxed Screening

Join us for a relaxed screening of The Nightmare Before Christmas, with some spooky film-themed activities and treats along the way.

Our CINEMA experience is designed to be comfortable, caring, inclusive and neuro-affirming, with a more relaxed approach to the usual expectations around going to the cinema.

All are welcome, with recommended ages of 8–14 years.

What to expect

• A relaxed cinema experience – social expectations are lowered, so there's no pressure to sit completely still, be quiet throughout the film or interact with others.
• Sensory adjustments – we'll make adjustments to sound, lighting and movement to help make the experience more comfortable.
• Spaces to take a break – there'll be dedicated areas where you can take some time away from the screening, with themed colouring books.
• Spooky photo opportunities – we've got some themed props for anyone who wants to get a photo.

Unmask & Mask Up

Fancy dressing up? Come along in your favourite costume and join our Costume Catwalk. It can be anything you like – Nightmare Before Christmas themed, spooky, silly or completely unrelated. Costumes are completely optional, of course!

And what's Halloween without a Trick 'o' Treat? There'll be some vegan treats available too.

Most importantly, there's no right or wrong way to enjoy the event. You can get involved in everything, just watch the film, take breaks when you need to, or a bit of everything.
