Award-winning trombonist Rory Ingham leads a stellar quintet of some of the UK’s most in-demand musicians, delivering a programme packed with hard-swinging energy, lyrical beauty, and irresistible groove. Joining him is the exceptional tenor saxophonist Oliver Wilby, celebrated for his warm tone and expressive, melodic style. The two share a powerful musical bond, honed through their work together in the Pasadena Roof Orchestra—bringing a rare chemistry and telepathic interplay to the bandstand.
They’re joined by the masterful Graham Harvey on piano, a driving force on the UK jazz scene; the ever-reliable and deeply musical Jeremy Brown on double bass; and the dynamic, swinging Mark Taylor on drums—each bringing their own distinctive voice to this exceptional ensemble.
Expect a vibrant homage to the great horn partnerships of jazz, from JJ Johnson & Stan Getz to Al Cohn & Bob Brookmeyer, featuring a mix of beloved standards and hidden gems. With the rich blend of trombone and tenor sax at its core, this is music that swings hard, soars high, and leaves a lasting impression.
An unmissable night for jazz lovers—full of fire, finesse, and unforgettable musical connection.
