Great Italian in Hornsey

Went to LA GIOCONDA on Hornsey High Street on Saturday night. It is just down the road from the Great Northern Railway Tavern. Really lovely food - from proper Italian pizzas to exquisite pasts dishes with a good choice for veggies. Service and surroundings excellent - one of the best meals I've had locally for a long time. Also has lots of room at the back, so ideal for an office party....

Fully agree - went there recently and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and value for money. Good atmosphere and service as well.

We went there with my parents and brother's family for the first time recently, had a great meal. The main courses seem very imaginative and you can order any main as a starter if you want to explore. All dishes were nicely prepared and presented, and the service was efficient and friendly. Thumbs up!

Have you been there during the day or in the evening?  Is it a good place to go for lunch?

Thanks for the heads up... hadn't come across it and it looks good. Doesn't indicate on the menu what wines are available by the glass but they must have some ??
