Did anyone else see Antepliler on Bake-off?
I can't work out if it tastes better with the bake-off seal of approval!

While we're on baklava and Turkish baking:
Simit Sarayi bakery chain - coming to Green Lanes?
This Turkish-based chain is opening cafes in Central London (there's one by Bond Street station if you're curious). On the hoarding for a forthcoming shop by Tottenham Court Road station (see what they're doing there) is a list of other forthcoming openings.
Top of the list is Green Lanes. But which part? N16? N4? N13? N21? Their website gives no UK contact details, I've emailed their head office but had no reply, so this isn't a question born out of idleness.

Yes, doubt Yasar will be happy. They have expanded into other countries too - and they won't be rocking the boat in their home country - see the signed editorial on page 3 of their house magazine here....

Since their masterful manipulation of Trip Advisor, Gokyuzu has certainly been pulling the crowds but I'm far from convinced that it's any better than Hala next door, for example.
