After it was discovered at the St Ann's Labour Party selection candidate selection meeting that there were people present and voting who should not have been, I came home from the pub (where I'd heard about it) and wrote this article. It has subsequently been edited by site admins to remove the names of people who were embarrassed or in the final case where a journalist said it was potentially libellous. Well here I will attempt to summarise what we have subsequently found out and hopefully take people's attention away from my original appalling rant.
*An individual has asked that their name be replaced with their function in this post on the grounds that they are not seeking public office. This has been done.

Most of the comments are abhorrent. Truly awful.
If you accepted it, why did you send PC Plod around to see me? Seems that, if Haringey Labour don't like what you say or do, they will use this tactic as John McMullan will testify? I am glad, all these years on, to learn that you accepted my apology but, given what I've just written (and how we have a shared interest in a local N17 school), I simply cannot enter into any further dialogue with you. Sorry. Needless to say, I hope you are looking forward to returning to a classroom.
They are going to rerun the St Ann's selection! One of the candidates has stepped aside. Alan do you have any details?
One of the candidates has stepped aside
Which one John? I hope it's not FOOL, April June!
Nope. But my old dear friend Isa Wrappa skyped me this morning to say she is flying in from Sylvania. And would we turn up the heating in the cellar.
If true, I'm really pissed-off.
I was so looking forward to four years of working closely with Ali and Babs, and the other bloke whose name we've all forgotten.
My brief? To praise, celebrate, acclaim, applaud, commend, compliment, hail, salute; cheer, rhapsodise about, and eulogize the wonderful work they're about to do. To record for posterity the golden words we will hear in their speeches. And the profundity and insights of their ideas.
(Declaration: My wife, Avril One is not the candidate.)
Thanks for coming to the area forum Phil and for contributing so effectively to the debate. It was lively and people made good contributions. Compliments to Mario Petrou who made some really cogent points and thanks to everyone who pressed home the importance of enforcement and dealing with slum landlords who will be degenerating Tottenham while the rest is sold off to the developers in the name of regeneration.
A shame Barbara didn't stay to hear the debate about Green Lanes and to hear the great work done so far and the issues facing the group and the area.

Goodbye and good luck Zena, you have been very supportive to us for some time. The two absentees reflects their attitude towards this community-they have no scruples and seek power without responsibility.
OK yes, this was an April Fools joke. Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up.
John, that's really unfair.
I've been working day and night on a spoof Labour Election Manifesto full of the most vapid, vague and meaningless under achievements, And promises for another 4 years of Kobershambles.
Now you've upstaged my work and completely spoiled the joke!
Oh well. Just in case anyone's interested <sigh> I've attached it. (Click below)
Save it for 2018. It'll be much the same vaguely amusing twaddle then.

Brilliant! I'm sorry, but you do have to get in before 9am really...
If you had some young web designer to build you a spoof website to host it on you'd be really dangerous ;)
