I just wanted to comment on how much nicer Finsbury Park is now that it’s been shut off from cars. The park feels more open and the area between the road and Endymion Road no longer feels intimidating (groups of men sitting in cars, engine running, music on). I really hope this continues after the lockdown.

Exactly what I was thinking! It had become more like a glorified car park. Wish it could stay like this...
Same here Ruth, a car park with some grass. It’s the only one I know of that allows parking inside the park, which seems a bit contrary to the purpose of a park.
Agree Michael. aAways thought it odd how people drive to a park to do a workout, when walking there is a good workout.
Indeed, rather like those people squeezing into a car parking space at The Arena before jogging 5 meters to Fitness First
Some possibly overzealous behaviour from the TSG though:

I don't know if it was over-jealous Joe. When I was there last weekend (when the weather was glorious) there were a lot of people sitting around sun-bathing. There were also a couple of people using the skating park.
And the wildlife are loving it. About 20 goslings in different groups round the lake. Never seen so many, and getting bigger and braver by the day. Whilst the geese ducks, pigeons all happy to eat out of your hand now.never seen it like this. It’s amazing
