Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Pemberton Bins Not Collected? Any Others?
It looks like the bins on Pemberton were not clear collected today. The black bins have not been collected for three weeks (I think they were due for collection two weeks ago and I am not sure they were collected!?).
Anyone else affected except me and a few of my neighbours?
I have reported it anyway, lets see how quick they are to make the collection- apparently they should do it the next day after a report is received- so Friday.

At a guess, the guys who drive Veolia refuse trucks are the same people who drive the gritting lorries, so bin collections may be a bit behind this week. (not that that explains your black bin last week).

Our black bins now emptied, one day later than usual. As above, catching up after being diverted to snow duties, has happened before.

Yes, I just got a message saying they were running late. This was the crux of their response which seems fair enough:
Please note, due to the weather conditions this week, there has been major delays in the service and we endeavor to catch up on any missed collections during the week and throughout the weekend. However, in order to catch up on these services we have suspended the food and garden waste collections so that these crews can assist with the backlog of waste and recycling collections. The food and garden waste will be collected next week as usual.

I'm most impressed - I forgot to put out the black bin this week, but they came today, hauled it out of its tight corner, emptied it AND replaced it more-or-less where it lives!
Oh, and they took the recycling.

They haven’t emptied next door’s for months because they don’t separate the recycling. This just causes them to use our bins, also not separating the recycling, then when they fill ours they start piling it up in their front garden. We then get hassle from Veolia for not splitting the recycling. Sick to death of this foul place and paying over the odds for inadequate services.

Food waste bins still not emptied on Cavendish as of Friday pm. I don't blame their hapless staff but the outsourcing of waste and recycling to Veolia has proved both dysfunctional and expensive while no doubt very lucrative to the monopolistic French HQ MNC.

So annoying. our food waste bin is full up. It snowed for no more than 24 hours, tubes, busses and overground were running well. It just goes to how how ill prepared they are and lacking in investment on thier Harringay franchise is if they haven't got snow tyres. veolia are hopeless.
