After a couple of heated discussions with overzealous Wireless staff in the park this week, I've just had confirmation from councillor Peray Ahmet that council officers have "rectified" the problem whereby southbound cyclists were being directed onto the footpath, which clashed with pedestrians (obvs). Please do get back on this thread if you have any issues.
Thank you Peray!

Not sure if I've been played here (fair enough Peray) but nobody is allowed through the park today because they have their show on tomorrow.
Whilst they are only using 50% of the park, it's just so crappy that the biggest midweek use is as part of a safe cycle route into and out of central London and they do next to nothing about keeping it open for that. They have to be better at this next year and it should not be left to us to check that it's being done and complain if it's not.
I've just given up cycling through there when there are things on. The difficulty of not knowing when you can get through plus dodging forklifts and trucks means I just can't be bothered.
The council are actually trying hard to keep the cycling path there open but the wireless staff are very against it. There is even a vehicle movement curfew in the mornings and afternoons which seems to be more enforceable.
It shouldn't be such a grey area issue: The council licences the space to the concert organisers and that contract should contain provisions concerning the normal uses of the park, e.g, pedestrians and cyclists.
If the contract contains no such provisions, then that is the concern that should be raised to this Peray and others like him to rectify in the future; if the contract contains such provisions (which I would be more inclined to expect) then the issue should be raised to councilors on the basis that the council ought to consider enforcing its rights against the licencee promoters.

I remember last year the same compulsory diversion to the footpath. It was annoying but not worthy of hue and cry.
What actually irked me more was that some skip like thing placed on the road at the bottom of the hill by the promoters sank into the road and cracked it all up--the repair thereafter should have hopefully been at their cost and, in any case, has never properly restored the prior state of condition.
On my bike this morning - I was directed very 'confidently' to the pedestrian path. I did query - but no way.
I'm following up. As in years gone by it's not what they do, it's their attitude to the usual users of the park while they do it.
I was also diverted to the pedestrian path (to the right hand side, along the old railway track). One problem is that they don't have any signposts...
A proper civil attitude rather than high school dropout who wants to be a mini brownshirt can also be covered by contract, although harder to police.
At the end of the day even if people like us file complaints over the treatment, my cynical side thinks that the council has its eyes squarely focused on what must be the considerable sum paid by the organisers for the licence to use the park.
It's still worth complaining, as even if it doesn't stop the concerts it will hopefully improve things for the following year. The Friends of Finsbury Park are trying to gather people's experience of Wireless, so great if you can all take a minute to fill in the form on their website https://www.thefriendsoffinsburypark.org.uk/my-wireless-experience/
Well she did say it was "The Friends of Finsbury Park" and the url isn't hiding anything either.
It's not just that you get diverted onto the footpath, the footpath is narrowed and kettled with barriers.
I wish I'd kept the community information sheet that came through our letterbox. This detailed routes and closures. My experience cycling through each day is that the closures / redirection don't match what was promised in the information. The path across the festival site - old toilets (now Furtherfield) to mid Seven Sisters Rd - has been closed to me a lot more than I remember reading.
They obviously see it as an inconvenience, but it should be a monitored requirement.
