Stationers 1958

"I joined Stationers’ in September 1964 and was one of the four ex- Priory Vale boys to transfer to Stationers’ to study for ‘A’ levels and go on to University. I remember John Leeming who I believe was our Chemistry teacher.…"

Stationers 1958

"Fascinating to see this picture and the one from 1947 too. I started teaching at Stationers;' in 1964, and I must have taught some of the boys in the front row in the 1958 photo, but I don't recognise any of them. Even in the 1947 photo,…"

Warham Road about 1952

"Purely conjecture... John on the left is exactly as I'd expect him to look.... sleeveless jumper, collar upturned, hair slightly ruffled. Whereas the Tony has a rather attractive patterned shirt, pleated trousers/shorts and a watch...a new…"

Warham Road about 1952

"How quickly things can change. By the mid 60's both sides of the roads there was a line of cars with rarely a gap. Not surprising really, for instance our next door neighbours ( Beresford Rd. ) had 5 cars and my Dad had a constant battle to…"

Thanks for a great site.
I was born in North London and lived in Warham Road from birth in 1944 to about 1958 when we moved to Brampton Road (off of St Ann's Road) where I lived until 1970.
Now in Hartlepool and rarely get to London.
Really interesting to see how the area has developed.
