Oops - how do I delete an event?

Oh dear oh dear... I have just, very stupidly, posted an event on here, someone phoned me and in my haste to complete the task I clicked - without having put in the correct date.
I wonder how it might be possible either to EDIT an event after posting or DELETE nad then repost?!
Any advice gratefully received... thank you...
