Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Anyone know if there is still talk of trialling Kerbo in Harringay?

Isn't the shortcoming of Kerbo that users have to have a guaranteed space directly outside their house/flat for the cable?

This is a fair point but Kerbo say ”We have not had any issues from residents regarding dedicated parking because when the resident signs the terms and conditions, they explicitly acknowledge they do not gain any additional rights to the parking space directly outside their property, and must not put out signs or cones to imply any reservation for EV charging. Additionally, with a suitable length cable a resident would be able to use the channel from any of the three spaces closest to their channel.
An average driver only needs to charge once or twice per week, so as long as they get to one of the three spaces closest to their property that often then this should pay for itself within 9 months versus using public chargers.
We are also bringing out a sharing app to allow residents to open their chargers to others when they aren’t using it, which means with 3 or 4 on a street, so even if yours were to be blocked when you urgently needed a charge, you could use a neighbour’s channel for a few pence more per kWh, without having to drive further.”

in my experience neighbours are very thoughtful and accommodating. I personally have had no problem at all charging outside my house in a residential terraced street.
