Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I know Rascal is a bit of a local celebrity and I’ve been told by several people that he has a home, but I don’t actually know who his owner is.

I’m asking because I’ve noticed over the last few times I’ve seen him that he’s become much thinner. Today I could easily feel his spine and pelvis when I stroked him, and I’ve also noticed patches of missing fur on both sides.

I’m not trying to make assumptions or accuse anyone of anything. I’d just really like to know that someone knows who his owner is and that he’s being looked after, or is seeing a vet if he needs one.

If anyone knows who he belongs to, or knows whether he’s okay, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know (or let his owner know people are a little worried about him). He’s such a lovely cat and I’d just like some reassurance that he’s alright - and would more than happy to offer support if the owner needs it.

Cat looks a bit thin and scruffy. Hopefully your post will alert his owner, if they are still around.

The posters on the park fence does have his owner phone number I think?

Do you have a pic of the poster? I’ve never noticed it!

Sorry no, but there are at least 2 just by the entrance to the park attached to the fence 😊 seems like someone had took him to the vet thinking he is stray so the posters appeared saying to contact his owner if you have any concerns.  Or smth like that 🙂

Hi Shannon,

Thank you for your concern, and you are right, he is a lovely and amazing cat. I wanted to assure you that he has an owner, they are my neighbours in La Rose Lane, and whilst they are away at the moment, myself and their friend who is staying at their home are looking out for him - something they have asked us to do and with details of both vets that he is registered with. He isn’t particularly well, somewhat age related, and he has been to the vets recently. He comes home, is fed and watered, but has always chosen an outdoor life. Please know he is loved and cared for, and we will continue to look out for him as I know others do.

Katy

Ahhh this is amazing news Katy, thank you so much for confirming - always felt awful coming home to my cat after seeing him around and not being 100% sure if he had a home. I’ll rest assured and really appreciate you coming back to me :)
